I am originally a Southeast Pennsylvania native, born and raised in York, PA. In high school my main interests were music and all applied sciences. I received my Bachelor Of Health Sciences degree from the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia with a specific focus on Physical Therapy and Exercise Physiology. Although it was a very difficult four years of intense study, I feel that every hour spent studying was well worth it, and that my current training methods are highly effective because of it. After college, before moving to NJ, I worked a desk job as a shipment auditor. But after months and months of sitting behind a desk for 8-12 hours a day, I became restless and completely uninterested in my work. I had worked so hard to maintain my health with regular exercise and a good diet throughout college, and in under a year I found myself living an unhealthy sedentary lifestyle. I had not been to the gym for almost a year and a half, and I knew I had to get back in shape, but was still lacking the motivation. I became part of the Bronco team during the summer of 2008. I had been working right across the street at the Madison Pet Shop, and was still in search of my true career calling. I originally moved to NJ to help a friend launch their career, and for a change of scenery and whatever opportunities I could find. It has always been my goal to be in some way shape or form involved in the health care field, and thankfully Michael and the rest of his wonderful staff have given me that chance. Together Michael, Holly and Charlene helped me to regain my strength and endurance, and taught me the importance of consistency in the gym, healthy eating habits, and ways to create specific exercise programs for any individual. After a year and a half of trainig with various clients and continued study with Michael and his staff, I received my ACE personal trainer certification in February of 2010. Now I have a greater focus on helping people change their lifestyles with simple choices and adjustments to everyday life, as opposed to a more clinical outlook on health, and I feel that I have truly found my place. Bronco's gym has helped me to combine my own techniques with the Bronco way of training and life management. |
